Sadia Sharmin Mim
Sadia Sharmin Mim is a 15 years old girl and the daughter of A K M Latifur Rahman and Nelofa Akhter. She is the second child in her family of three children. By profession her father is a farmer and her mother is a homemaker.
The income of her father is too low (average daily income $1.25) to maintain basic needs of their family. Because of economic hardship, Sadia has been growing up in extreme poverty since her childhood. Most of the time, it becomes very difficult for her father to manage three meals for the family of five. Despite adversities and various shortcomings, it didn’t stop Sadia's desire for schooling. Five students including Sadia secured GPA-5.00 after appearing in the final junior school certificate (JSC) exam in 2019 from Agami supported school - Chatpara Ideal Academy, a secondary school located in the Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj district. She is very happy with her current success.
In her own words, Sadia believes - “consistent routine education, parental inspiration and teachers' intense efforts are the main reason behind her success.” She thinks that every student should study regularly according to the guidelines of the teachers for academic success. Sadia is grateful to Agami, her school authorities and teachers as they assisted her in many ways to continue her studies. Sadia dreams of serving her community as well as working for the interest of the nation after becoming a doctor.
Sadia’s family believes that despite many difficulties one day she will achieve her dream. She hopes that the society will be with her all the way to materialize her long-cherished dream.
