Transforming Education Through Technology

Agami EdTech is transforming classrooms across Bangladesh by making high-quality, tech-enabled learning accessible to all - especially in marginalized communities. We localize global educational content, deploy EdTech solutions in schools, train teachers, and develop research-based innovations. Our work empowers educators with modern teaching tools and provides students with engaging, high-quality learning resources. Through strong partnerships with education non-profits, development organizations and government agencies, we are making education more inclusive, effective, and accessible for all.

Khan Academy Bangla

Khan Academy Bangla is the Bangla language portal of the globally acclaimed education platform Khan Academy. With practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard, Khan Academy Bangla empowers learners to study at their own pace, both in and out of the classroom.

Agami is Khan Academy’s exclusive Bangla content partner for over a decade. We are currently focused on supporting mathematics education for primary and secondary grade levels. To do this, we map Khan Academy content to the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) curriculum of Bangladesh. After mapping, we localize the content to ensure it aligns with the national context and language. Additionally, our content team develops new materials to fill any gaps where Khan Academy content does not fully cover NCTB learning objectives.

These free, online educational resources can be accessed through the following platforms:

Learning in Tab

Agami EdTech’s Learning in Tab initiative brings high-quality digital learning to underserved schools across Bangladesh. Using Kolibri - an offline platform co-developed with the Learning Equality Foundation - we deliver engaging content even in remote areas like Bandarban.

By equipping schools with tablets, content servers, and interactive math resources, we are making education more accessible for thousands of students. The platform offers comprehensive math content for Grades 3 - 7, with videos and exercises designed for both learners and facilitators.

BRAC Partnership

The Kolibri-based Agami Learning Platform and Khan Academy Bangla content are being used in 76 schools under the Social Enterprise division of the BRAC Education Program. This collaboration is focused on making high-quality digital learning resources accessible in low-resource communities and helping close the digital divide.

Agami EdTech provides training and support to BRAC teachers and facilitators, who implement the program in multi-media classrooms, creating engaging and inclusive learning environments.

Agami Bikrampur Initiative

Bikrampur - present-day Munshiganj District, located just ~20 km south of Dhaka - is a region steeped in history and culture. In 2024, the Bikrampur Initiative was launched through the generous support of an Agami donor, with the goal of transforming the quality of education in the area.

What began with a single school has now grown to three schools, expanding its impact significantly. The initiative focuses on integrating technology and innovative learning methods into classrooms, empowering both teachers and students.

Current Scope of Work

  • Multimedia Classrooms: Establishing digital classrooms equipped with interactive teaching tools.

  • Tab Labs: Creating student-accessible labs with tablets for engaging, tech-driven learning.

  • Curated Educational Content: Providing high-quality resources, including lessons from Khan Academy Bangla.

  • Teacher Training: Supporting educators with professional development in blended education - combining traditional methods with modern digital tools.

This is a donor-directed project, and its success so far is a testament to the vision and generosity of those who support it. A heartfelt thank you to all our donors - your contributions are helping shape a brighter, smarter future for Bikrampur’s children.

E-Learning Centers

In the 2018–2019 period, we partnered with college authorities to establish E-Learning Centers in the following Cadet Colleges, made possible through generous funding from Alumni Cadet organizations:

  1. Mirzapur Cadet College

  2. Pabna Cadet College

These centers have become vibrant hubs of learning, providing cadets with access to high-quality educational content from Khan Academy and other curated platforms. Their success has inspired us to extend this model to other schools across Bangladesh.

“Salute to Baba” Initiative - As part of our “Salute to Baba” theme, we collaborate with individual sponsors to set up E-Learning Centers in the school of their choice - often in honor of their parents, loved ones, or at their own alma mater. This heartfelt initiative turns personal tribute into lasting educational impact.

Sponsorship Options - We offer multiple flexible packages to accommodate different giving capacities, typically ranging from $15,000 to $25,000. Your support helps:

  • Install Computer Labs

  • Provide access to digital learning platforms

  • Train teachers in technology-enabled instruction

  • Bridge the educational gap for thousands of students

Join us in shaping the future - one E-Learning Center at a time.

Research Projects

We combine action with inquiry - learning as we go to deepen our impact. With that in mind, we actively engage in research projects to assess impact, improve effectiveness, and contribute to the broader field of education innovation in Bangladesh and beyond.

Reinventing our Classroom

The Reinventing Our Classroom (ROC) project, led by Agami EdTech and funded by the World Bank, transformed classroom environments across 128 schools in Narsingdi between 2022 and 2023. By training over 400 teachers and engaging thousands of students in structured group activities, the initiative helped foster student leadership, emotional expression, and classroom ownership. Rooted in a global study, ROC combined innovative pedagogy with rigorous data collection, leaving a lasting impact on how learning unfolds in Bangladesh’s secondary classrooms.

Over the years, our commitment to advancing education and digital equity has resulted in the successful completion of several impactful projects across Bangladesh.

Here are some of the most notables:

UNICEF and Agami launched a tech-driven learning project in remote Bandarban schools.
Using multimedia, tablets, and training, it bridged gaps and promoted equity.
The model shows promise for national EdTech scaling.

“Reach to Teach” is a virtual course to boost grade 6 math teachers’ skills through pedagogy, curriculum focus, and digital tools. It builds on past training to reduce math fear and promote real-life logical thinking.

Agami EdTech’s CLASP trained local volunteers in Kurigram and Lalmonirhat to enhance math teaching for Grades 6 and 7. Despite floods and connectivity issues, eight volunteers completed the program. The project proved a scalable model for community-led education in remote areas.

“Amar Ghore Amar School” brought digital lessons to students during the COVID-19 lockdown via national TV. Agami EdTech developed 156 approved videos on secondary subjects, mostly created remotely. The program reached over 70% of households, ensuring continued learning despite school closures.
